15 Little Wins To Feel Good About

We give a lot of significance to the “big” achievements. Getting a promotion or a raise, buying a house, even having a certain number of followers on Instagram or Twitter — all those things surely deserve feeling amazing about. But you do know that even the small happenings — the stuff that may seem trivial or not a big deal — matters too?

You may consider making a journal for writing an entry whenever you feel like you did something real and significant. Although you don’t need a physical record to give yourself props. At the end of each day, recall the tasks (including the small ones), and encourage yourself to be glad and proud about achieving them.

1. Watering the plants

2. Getting a discount or using an app or coupon to save money on a purchase — saving even a small amount adds up

3. Donating for a cause or a someone in need

4. Putting money away into savings — regularly

5. Texting your friends and family right away, rather than procrastinating

6. Finishing a book you really were keen on reading

7. Completing a chore that you had been putting off forever, like organizing your wardrobe or pantry

8. Fixing or creating something on your own after learning to do it from a YouTube video

9. Learning to cook your favorite meal at home, that too for way cheaper

10. Checking your online banking account every day to stay updated on questionable charges or be aware of how much money is in each account

11. Treating your skin to something really hydrating or a stress-relieving and nourishing head massage at the end of the day, simply giving yourself the ten to fifteen minutes of self-care while you wind down

12. Researching smart and small ways you can save or invest your money

13. Keeping yourself hydrated

14. Reading the news and doing your best to keep yourself updated on current events and ways you can create an impact

15. Making a huge effort to be compassionate to yourself, particularly if you’ve been feeling blue recently (Loving yourself can be the most difficult and tremendous achievement of all!)

Trying to be a good friend, colleague, and partner matters. Managing your money matters. Taking care of your health and surroundings matters. It’s great to have high goals, but it’s obvious to get caught up in the daunting list you have yet to achieve. Instead of fixating on those, consider spending some time praising yourself for the feats you do accomplish each and every day.
